Here is a brief run down of what has happened in the last six months. After havinglived in Kansas City for the past six years, my wife and I found ourselves wanting to move back to Iowa to be closer to family. I was fortunate enough to get a brand new job at Iowa Public Television in Des Moines, and my wife got to keep her job with the advertising agency she's been with since graduating from school.
Four months after moving to Des Moines, we found a great house with open floor space, a wonderful backyard and shed, a spacious kitchen, a renter in the basement, and just enough things to do inside and out to make it our own without breaking the bank.
This blog has been created to document our time, showing our ups and downs, and what we're doing to make a new life in Iowa. We're really excited.
